Letting your child do, say, dress as they please is not helping them at all, in fact you are in my opinion negligent and making your childs adulthood harder than it needs to be.  It’s great that so many parents want to allow their kids to be kids and make their own choices. But i wonder how many of those parents had their girl’s ears pierced as babies or their son’s foreskin removed and would argue that both these were their parental choice to make that everyone else should not comment on.

One of the greatest thing you can do for your children is to teach them the right things to do. Train up a child in the way that he/she should grow, so that when they are older they won’t depart from it. A child doesn’t know right from wrong. Support the right and positive things around your children. Im not a fan of forcing children not to do something they like. You’re basically telling this tiny person, who you’ve sworn to care for and protect, that the thing they like is wrong.

That they’re inherently wrong. And i think that’s such a sad thing to teach a child.  My son plays with dolls and we have no girls in our home. He love babies. I’m not going to tell him he can’t have it because it’s a girl toy! That’s just sexist… He wants it, i’ll get it as long as he plays with it.. What’s the problem? Hey kim it was so nice to see what you put on facebook that is such a pretty thing but it is all true everything.
