I’m sorry but this sounds very biased. My family is 100% American and we (as well as close friends of mine) believe in these same rules. Except the soup one, like most Americans we dont cook soup until its cold or someone is sick.  The food issue is important. It’s important to introduce all kinds of foods to kids and expect them to eat what we do. I raised my boys like that and they have very diverse and healthy eating habits now.  I don’t have time to read this right now (so I can’t speak to whether or not the article sucks lol) but still thought you’d be interested.

Only one I disagree with is the “no personal space” rule. Other than that these other ideas sound pretty reasonable and good. They sure are, thank you to all women in any military service for your service past present and future. Thank you for my freedom. God Bless. I really cant believe the amount of people saying they should have adopted from the US bc there are plenty of kids needing a home. There are plenty of kids all over the world that need a loving home. If you have love and financial means to take on more children,it doesnt matter where they come from. You should be ashamed of yourselves for even thinking that way.

Some parents decide to pretend to be dead n give away their kids for adoption just coz of the level of poverty some can’t even afford to provid the most basic needs like food n so on I know coz I too am augandan single mom though wouldn’t give up my daughter for any reason. This is so true. Parents have pretended to die and give up their kids for adoption. Adoption isn’t necessarily bad when it is properly done and due diligence is carried out before the children are adopted. Otherwise there are plenty of children who have been abandoned by their birth parents or have even been terribly mistreated.

As an adopted child I can tell you that in most cases the past is very cloudy and at times the truth is covered up for various reasons. I am grateful for my parents that adopted me. They provided a great home and an opportunity to thrive. With that said, I know that might not be the case for every adopted person. I commend this family that tried to do the right thing to adopt a child in need. I also commend them for doing the right thing to return the child to her mother. Finally I commend them for making society aware of this issue, in hopes of making change.

This is very sad I know a couple of Americans that have come to uganda my country to adopt children and it has always been merry the feeling that this kid is going to have a whole new amazing life thrills me.. But this is really absurd..probably they should have interacted with the locals more. I’ll just say this: if you adopt from another country, Star Trek Merry Christmas From Starffeet Ugly Shirt,  make sure your child becomes a citizen. You’ll be surprised at the amount of adoptees who are just now realizing that their parents never bothered to seek citizenship for them, and some are facing deportation.
