The real mystery is why they’re only starting to be curious now, after 57 years. I’d’ve been curious after 1-2 years lol. And why would you send the Star Wars Periodic Table Of Elements Shirt bit pointless to. Maybe someone appreciates the care they were given? A card once a year is an extremely small token if the hospital saved their life, or even just cared well for you. That’s the most miserable comment from a happy face I’ve encountered this year. . I’ll tell them for you.

If it’s still being sent in 2160 let me know… up till then i couldn’t really care or see it as news… it’s just a thankyou letter from somebody happy to be alive. Do tell us all what is ‘news’ to you as an individual. We can then all aim to only ever post things that are relevant to you. I mean hey, let’s not even pretend that other people are relevant… There’s only one person who matters in this world and that’s John Nathan. If anyone challenges that, you send them to me.

It’s 57 years ago since this person was a patient so potentially aged anywhere between 67 and 97 years old and whoever it is is still going strong so there you go ….elementary. Whatever.. it is message of love and nothing but a card bearing that message..I wish i could rcv such anonymous cards from a person of unknown existence.. Thrilling!!! I’m going to be thrilled if he penned a bunch in advance and left it to his descendants to keep sending them.

I have former colleagues whose birth date I don’t even know who’ve been sending me birthday wishes every year for over 20 years. Not sure why. It triggers discussions and conversations and it makes me happy (I’m not complaining at all – it’s nice to know people care), but I’m not particularly likeable or sociable (I don’t perceive myself as such, anyway) and I have no clue why they chose to implement and maintain this one-way tradition.

Exactly. They’re people who live abroad and seem to like keeping contact and they’ve obviously liked working with me, and I enjoy their keeping things alive even though it’s not a channel I would have created or fed myself. Which is why I can totally understand that someone would send a Thank You card each and every year. It makes sense to them, and why not? People like Ryan are devoid of common sense – & probably long-term friendships as well.

The basic principle of card sending = if you want people to know who it’s from then sign your name. If this person doesn’t want people to know then just take the spirit of the Star Wars Periodic Table Of Elements Shirt and be happy it was sent, don’t worry who sent it. I hope they stay anonymous and keep sending rather than get spooked and stop. They’re former colleagues, Ryan, you jerk. Just cos people no longer work with you doesn’t mean they drop out of your life.
