Tim Michael I’m guessing you are getting your info about Stranger Poster Shirt from comedies portraying British stereotypes. The thing is that America has its own form of English and they DO butcher the English language in comparison to the rest of the English speaking world. Hell you guys had to invent your own way of measuring things that no one else uses just so you can be different. Gav Cowen I will call myself a dummy and will agree it wasn’t invented and I’m wrong. It was when the rest of the world went metric, Americans decided to keep the imperial system that the rest of the world doesn’t use. But like I said I was wrong and apologize for that one statement.

Kelli Wiggins Shumaker you act like everyone watched friends. I personally never watched and very few of my friends so maybe calling people dumb for not watching a sitcom is a little much but hey I did kinda dumb out earlier. No, they are not dumb for never having watched the show. They are dumb for having stupid comebacks when they have no clue what she was even talking about. It’s just like your grandparents said…better to keep your mouth shut and look stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

Omg. That Friends episode was sooooo funny. You millennials that never watched friends all need to get a sense of humor. Nah, you gotta put the spices and salt in with the buttermilk and chicken and let it marinate. That way the flavors actually go through. If you do this, you’re gonna get completely bland chicken with a flavorful breading. Yes! Just what I was going to say! Marinate in the buttermilk and spices a long time. I do overnight. I also partially cook the chicken in its marinade before frying. I’ve never mastered frying so it’s fully cooked before I’ve burnt it.

Yeah no need to salt both. I usually salt the chicken directly, and add all the spices directly. Then pour the buttermilk over it, mix it all together, and let it sit for a while in the fridge. The last time I even put some lemon zest from a lemon I had lying around and you could taste a hint of lemon in the fried chicken – it was delicious! Bobby Puri I put a little bit of salt, and some pepper in the flour because I didn’t want it to be completely bland. It depends on your own personal preferences! But I wouldn’t put too much if you’ve salted the chicken as then it would be too salty overall.

Misha Mehta I never made this before, how long do you fry the chicken for? It seems like for a while…I’m asking you cos it seems you know what you ara talking about. Francesca, I just kept the flame on medium low and fried the chicken until the coating was brown enough. I’m sure there’s a correct way to do it, but that worked for me. I guess you just keep frying until it’s at the desired crispiness you want, and make sure to check the internal temperature to see if it’s fully cooked! If you have the oil too hot, it’ll get brown really quickly without actually cooking the chicken so it’s better to keep it lower and let it cook slowly.

Secret: divide up the salt and pepper and use it on the uncoated chicken, in the Stranger Poster Shirt, and in the breading. The chicken will be much more flavorful. I’d use season salt and pepper for all three steps, myself. I make it like this all the time and it never comes out bland. But I also don’t need to drown it in salt to there point where a heart attack is imminet either. Did I say that? Because I don’t think I said that. I believe I said to use the same amount of salt and split it up so as to properly season all the layers.
