Drug test are not very impressive. They seem to only be able to actually catch the pot smokers versus all those doing the real hardcore drugs that are actually causing the problems in our society. I know that one of the big reasons government decided to give public assistance to drug and alcohol addicted people was to “reduce their need to commit crime”. It didn’t work. Instead the government has given them free money (called cash aide in calif. Plus social security disability) to buy drugs, free health care to get drugs that they sell on the street, housing assistance, food stamps (cards) that they sell for 50 cents/dollar (in calif. They sell their pin #s). This is just another government boondoggle that is enabling and increasing the drug population. Need an incentive to get off welfare, maybe this will help but they will still get federal assistance and that is enough to live on the streets, down by the river, etc.

Here’s the problem, if these people are denied food stamps because they fail a drug test… What happens then? The system is so screwed up and simply cutting these individuals (and families) loose is a receipt for disaster. There needs to be a better plan than simply denying those who fail the drug test food stamps. It takes 3 days to get most hard drugs out of your system all this is going to do is penalize people who smoke a little marijuana because it takes 30 days to get it out of your system. But you can smoke some crack wait 3 days or 4 days go take your test and piss clean.

It’s necessary and appropriate. If this was enforced years ago the national debt wouldn’t be where it is today. Obummer made it too easy for freebies in this country. Many americans forgot what earning a living is all about. Walker is the man !!  I know addicts that pass court mandated test all the time. They know how to cheat them. Probably just a waste of money. Somewhere there is a shop with artificial pee that will make a fortune. Hell the pee shop will probably take .  I supoort this. Save for one thing: marijuana.

This is more cost effective and beneficial than a lot of prescription medicines. That, and if alcohol is legal..so should that imo. This doesn’t cover just doing it to do it (just like beer/wine), if you need financial help.  Problem is that most drugs they should be worried about wont stay in yr system more than 3 or 4 days. Keeping stoners from food won’t stop the problem. Most potheads will work for their high. Junkies spend everyday on the hunt, no time to work for it. Making it harder for people that are addicted to drugs to get food is a bad idea. They were already in dire straights. You take away there food and they’ll have to steal and do other nefarious things to get their basic needs. Also, so what if they smoke weed.

This does nothing to stop alcoholics. Which are way more abundant.  Although i agree with it, this will never be implemented. It has been tried many, many, times, and every time it has been tried, it has been squashed by the courts. Politicians who keep pushing it are just wasting time and taxpayer money in a big away trying to make themselves look good to their voters. I love the idea , its only fair !! Workers get drug tested , why not those who apply for assistance , but this will be hard to monitor , more Superheroes You Can’t Save The World Without Jesus Shirt likely it will only be one test to receive your benefits, then go to the wayside.
