Why would you want a movie that’s all about replicating the comics? Comics aren’t just scripts to be adapted into movies, they have their own value. If you want the comics’ take on Spiderman, then you could just read them instead. The movies need to have more value to them than just being straight adaptations, especially with old superhero characters whose stories we’ve heard a million times. Any adaptation needs some originality in order to give it some actual value. If someone is doing new things with Spiderman while still keeping what makes him great, then that’s an accomplishment. Also, the comics try to find ways to change their characters as well. These superheroes are very old, and each writer is trying hard to find new things to do with them while also keeping their essence. So this isn’t exclusive to the movies.
