I have never felt so insulted or humiliated by someone today I went into the valdosta ga store to exchange some items that were sent to my cousin he is living with us by his aunt in another state everything was too small all I asked was to exchange for different items or sizes she paid with her children’s place card no big deal didn’t want a return I had 2 receipts because things were sent at 2 different times one packaged arrived this morning she proceeds to tell me this is complicated just going to return it I said no because it was on her card then I can’t get what he needs she said i’m just going to give you the cash I said ok whatever I just need different sizes of course it wouldn’t go through and she went to the back and got the manager she comes out and says no you can not get a return again told her I do not want a return I just need to exchange for different items she then picks up one of the items smells it and tells me in front of several other customers well these smell I said what excuse me they just came in the mail she looks at me with a face of disgust and not believing me and said they did I told her you know what forget it i’ll just mail them back and she can get a refund she tries to stop me by saying it’s ok we’ll get this figured out I again said no I am done i’m not giving your store any of my business she proceeds to tell me well i’m sorry if I offended you very unprofessional I can’t even imagine saying that to a family member let alone a customer I use to be a manager in a shoe store I can not even imagine to tell someone oh these stink btw everything had the tags I had both receipts and they were brand new awful customer service and now I have to pay out of pocket to ship these back never shopping with children’s place again btw asked a few other to smell the clothes outside of children’s place and they said they smelled like new clothes
