Enjoy what will be the first of many great things to come. its such an exciting moment of your life when u sign on that dotted line. we bought our first home last year best feeling ever. Good luck to u and your family! Hopefully you didnt make the mistake most young people who get new money make, and buy a huge house with huge payments that you might not be able to sustain. I grew up on the fifties and my mother had a washer, dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, we used shampoo and she had a hair dryer. You were wealthy, then Laura. Well into the sixties before we had a wringer washer, and fridge (no freezer, no dryer, no dishwasher). Well, we had a dishwasher – my dad! Clothes were hung on the washing line, or in front of the fire if it was raining, and milk was delivered fresh every morning.

Melodie Marie my mom was born in 49 and did not-. nor did most of the people I know that are the same age. People like the wealthy version of the 50s- not the dirt poor scraping by with no social services to help version. I am learning some things about the 50s. The Best Kind Of Dad Raise A Veteran Shirt. There was alot of poverty back in the 50s but people were to proud to get assistance from the government. I wonder when did that change, in the 80s, 90s, exactly when? Things I took for granted, just assumed everyone had things and they didn’t.
