Most of the dogs are probably not returned. You can not pass up a chance to find lots of good homes for lots of good dogs, just because some of those adoptions might not work out. To see if you were suitable. All they did was take my name, address and money. I was very disappointed.

Sometimes a pet adoption just doesn’t work out. Doesn’t mean the person would not be a great pet owner for another animal, or that the animal is a lost cause, but you might get home, and find out your environment is not ideal. Your attempted rescue may not get along with your existing pets, or may have acted fine around your children at the shelter, but at home just isn’t good with kids.  We have the capacity to think of environment issues ahead of time. Sometimes at the shelter, children are great with dogs and end up being assholes to them at home.

One time I watched a documentary about the K9 in military services, they are like human, until their older age, or injured, they are taking cared of, and during their dawn years, they are looking for dog lovers who can give them love and affection,this time as a pet not as military dog, they are sweet too, they love to play too, they love to be hugged too, one K9, he was old and eyes are like an old man, with injury in his arm, when his trainor visited him for a long time, he still recognized his master, feel happy, running towards his master and just like a kid wanted to be hugged and ask to play, my tears fell down when its time to say goodbye, his master cried to his dog friend now in old age, his dog just look at him in sad eyes.
