Where I live we don’t have Bakers anything, but The Chainsaw Texas Massacre Shirt will use what’s available here. A bundt cake..ooohhh yummm I would make this but I’m not buying buttermilk for one cake….I like to buy items I know I will use again. Looks good but I’m afraid to click the link for the recipe. Clicking the links can be more work than making the damn CAKE! Ha! You know how to have endless supply of tomatoes? Have a rabbit who eats ’em and use his poop in your garden.

Random tomato plants constantly sprout, you will end up annoyed with tomato sprouts. Did it last year. Worked very well. Felt a little sad having to thin out so many viable plants after they spouted and started to crowd each other out. This year, cutting the slices into quarters. I had my usual 12 tomato plants last year but thought I do this just for grins.

Here’s the problem, I had about 200+ tomato plants come up. I gave one a special spot in a pot with the other 12 and it produced on par with the others. When I was growing up we had a built in bbq grill with a sink next to it that drained into our flower bed. Making hamburgers on the grill one night mom cut some tomatoes and rinsed the knife in the sink, few weeks later we had unexpected tomatoes growing, we weren’t even trying.

Needless to say we didn’t BUY anymore tomatoes that year. Got several plants just from the seeds washing down the drain. This happens to me every summer – I neglect to pick over ripe tomatoes from my plants, they fall onto the soil, I get seedlings in a few weeks. It’s not magic. This works sort of it depends on the variety but I get ton’s of volunteers every year fill a pot with soil and put old and rotten tomatoes in the pot and like he said let mother nature do her thing.

I tried this method last year and the plants that came up didn’t yield very many tomatoes. Chose your starter tomatoes wisely if you go with this method. Could be that a lot of food gets irradiated coming in from Mexico? If you buy the vine ripened tomatoes and let them sit on a window sill for awhile, when you slice them you may already have the seeds sprouting.

Just cut them, put into pot of soil, cover lightly, water and sunshine and you will soon have sprouts to replant. Mother Nature at its best. The problem with doing this is that most tomatoes you buy are hybrids so if you plant their seeds, they won’t be the same kind of tomato The Chainsaw Texas Massacre Shirt originally bought. When mine rot on the vine I leave them, Wala in late spring u have boko plants, heirloom all the time,I never know what to expect!! Love it!!
