Well, shame about that dove, i bet you i’m not the only consumer they lost on this bad stunt.   I’m genuinely surprised to see this from I Think New Jersey Misses Me Better Start Planning The Next Trip Shirt. Dove is usually a pretty on point brand in terms of marketing to all women. This is extremely inappropriate. But one credit u have to give to the makers of dove soap ,it really softens the skin whatever maybe the age.

The present ad might have been have been offensive particularly in the west where ironically people sunbathe to get tanned whereas in countries like india people esp girls are desperate to get lighter skin and this ad wouldn’t have raised an eyebrow. I haven’t seen the ad but the models for the commercial were ok about it doing the commercial? If it was racist wouldn’t the models have said so? Miss me with that excuse.

In fact start hiring a diversity of people who can sit and view your commercials in order to prevent this issue. For the record, you don’t have to be a minority to notice this was a bit much. Being a white person that seeks the sun to get tanned allllll summer … I now know what product to avoid to keep the tan a tad longer. Personally i didn’t see it.

Remember the story the boy who cried wolf. Be informed and educated. Look beyond the veil covering your face from your life’s experiences. I’m glad someone explained it to this old white girl i thought it was a good ad but what the hell, i missed the hidden meaning behind it so i guess i’m to stupid to see the under lying meaning of commerials so i will quit watching them thanks.

I thought it was distasteful, however, people have to understand the history of soap commercials. It was as if they were reinforcing the brown is bad white is good and clean.  I’m sorry but i know there was a person in the meeting that said “i’m not sure about this” and everyone gave them the “mean look” and they at their desk with a smirk on their face. This is an old ad.

It is women of all races, not just black and white. It is celebrating woman!!!! So if it went from black to asian would that be ok?? Not a great commercial racist i don’t think so looks like  I Think New Jersey Misses Me Better Start Planning The Next Trip Shirt we’re trying to convey its for all skin types just not a great execution.
