Though I currently am a fan of the sea salt and cracked black pepper many people love meat but still desire seasoning for additional flavor. I’m sure people can’t read. I find nothing wrong with a little seasoning, but for those who have no idea about cooking, here’s a little science behind it. A little seasoning will break down the surface fibres of the fat marbling, allowing the inner fats to cook and release into the meat, enhancing the flavour. However, too much and the fats essentially cold burn and disintegrate before even hitting the heat. The best cuts have a Trinity Of Legends Shirt of marbling for a reason, even Mr Ramsey will recommend marbling as essential for a good steak. If you’re going to ruin it, buy chicken.

No one buys ribeye, and then drenches it in salt. What a waste of money. Of course some seasoning is always required, however if you listen to the end she says the key to a great steak is plenty of salt. Which just isn’t true. Well seeing as how Tasty is meant for people cooking at home for their families or themselves I dont think this is meant to be restaurant quality. Put ice on your hand. Put salt on the ice. Tell me what happens to your hand. It’s the same kind of chemical reaction. Buy 2 steaks. Put one in freezer and another room temperature for 24 hours. Cook them both in exactly the same way at the same time and tell me how they tasted. Welcome to freezer burn Zoltan Gyulai

I’m mildly entertained by these so-called “cooks” that seem to know what’s best for everyone in terms of taste. Taste is like music… I might hate rap music (I do) but there are a zillion people that love it. I like rock but those that love rap might. It’s called criticism Mike. It can be taken constructively and hopefully one or two can improve on my cooking too. This one video is wrong, but others are sooooo right. I encourage people to improve on my recipes and even give me tips, I even borrow some things from videos on here from people that truly can cook. If you don’t like my comments, you can unfollow and stfu, RSVP and gfy, and other reckless abbreviations you wish to throw out there.

They think this is how you cook a steak? I hope you don’t own a restaurant! You’ve drowned out the taste with oil and used so much salt it’ll degrade the marbling before even hitting the pan. Cooked right you could cut those with a butter knife rather than having to saw through. Disgraceful. Ian easy to sit and criticize. It is common sense to use salt and pepper to each person’s individual preference . And generally you put salt and pepper before it hits the pan. Even easier to criticise when I’m standing cooking steaks on a regular basis.

And I have no problem with seasoning, but it’s the amounts used I can’t condone. Immaterial of taste at pre cook stage as keeping the integrity of the meat is paramount. Seasoning to taste is why condiments are put on tables. And even then I’d slap anyone adding prior to tasting. Generally if you need to season a steak further, it’s cooked badly or you don’t actually like steak. He actually is right that was way too much oil and way to much salt, it should be a pinch of salt to rub not completely cover, thats first thing training in most schools and the oil should cover the steak not fill the pan unless its a cheaper steak and only if a recipe calls for a crusted skin

Anyone who cooks steak right knows that it won’t need salt or pepper if done properly with the Trinity Of Legends Shirt on a grill/bbq. Ian Spooner Heydon you must be better than Gordon Ramsay then ! I hope you have few Michelin stars. As chef Gordon always seasons the steak before cooking. Just recently started using only Sea Salt and cracked black pepper. Yes I agree a Lil less oil. We love steak but my hubby loves seasoning he likes to marinate prior to cooking and season with a Cajun seasoning and garlic powder. Plus he still uses A1. I liked mine the same and if seasoned correctly no need for A1 I don’t like drowning my food.
