Or is there some history of him being or doing something that qualifies him as such? Excuse me.. Excuse me but something is getting lost here. They kneel during the national anthem. The national anthem is a song. It is a melody and words on paper. The kneel is about people. People being treated with brutally are even murdered by racist law enforcement officials.

And just let me remind you that “officially” the last black lynched in this country was in 1989. How many of you can even imagine that?? Alright, can we please stop saying that because someone has misplaced and blinding patriotism that it means they are racist? Nothing about that song said he disliked people of another race. (I zoned out a bit from boredom, but I’m pretty sure I got the gist of the song.) Disagreeing with the way people are bringing attention to racial injustice, does not mean they disagree with the cause itself.

Personally, I don’t understand WHY it is offensive to take a knee during the National Anthem, but I’ve also always found the Pledge of Allegiance to feel a little too communistic for my tastes. I’m just tired of people being called racist for disagreeing with the manner in which this is being done. Misguided but not NECESSARILY (as I’m sure many are) racist. Orla Hennessy, I don’t have a problem with the term, when it applies. If it does with him, then shame on him. I hadn’t heard anything about him being racist before, or anything at all really since the early 90s when CMT played around the clock in my childhood home.

I’m just saying that I know amongst the people disagreeing with “taking a knee” are many good, open minded people that are so intensely patriotic that they can’t see past what they consider an insult. Now do I think a large portion of the people who have a problem with this method are racist fucks disguising their hatred with a reinvigorated loyalty to the flag? Yes, yes I do. I’m just not willing to make blanket statements about large groups of people. Ever. (Unless they voted for Trump. Fuck those assholes.) So Neal McCoy is half Filipino.

It’s sad to see how much he has internalized racist beliefs, and that he is using his platform to promote anti-black views. However, attacking someone’s grammar is classist and discriminatory. So let him say dumb crap & sing a song for all 100 people at that “concert” & then let him fade back to the nothingness he came from .
