The states who have tried this found that less than 2% of welfare recipients use drugs while the national average is much higher at over 8%, so really it’s a waste of money that might be better spent on employment programs for welfare recipients. If it’s required to receive state employment money, it should by all means be required to get free state money! Good.

If us working folks have to take drug tests and generally are subject to random drug screening at our workplaces…. And we work for our money not it being given it to us from others hard work… Why not them have to drug screen also. Just saying. Perhaps not testing. But a sense of human decency. This country has given, supported, and walked you and i thought this. Time to wake up.

If i can work.. You can work. Don’t ride the system. If you do then don’t mind me calling you out. And i will. Look i agree but you’d just be wasting tax payer money! You don’t realize how folks get on it and stay on it. They’ll just find someone who’s willing to stay clean to get money. Then they’ll just sell it for .50 on the dollar to those who do and on drugs….  A good comodity to die for. You get slim extra fast. Dont reprogram them or help them with gettin rid of addiction, but let them starve instead.

Hey! If they can afford drugs to be superhappy we have to cut that in the roots, or what? Like half of y’all cheat to pass the drug test for your job. Lmao. It don’t matter how random it is, there’s always a way to cheat. Half y’all cheat on your taxes, cheat on ya sponses, cheated to get the job y’all got. Do you really think that even if they are able to kick ppl off the program, do you think that extra money’s going to go back into your pocket? Naw. Half the money doesn’t even get alotted for even food stamps.

Most of it goes to the workers, who by the way are mostly pot heads. They should drug test everyone in publicly funded housing, too. Including and beginning with the governor’s mansion. And everyone who works for the state and federal government, every week before they collect their paycheck. Taxpayer dollars! This always gets shot down, it’s completely unconstitutional, wastes more money than it saves and even they estimate they are only gonna catch about 200 people state wide.

Legalize weed and it would be 3 people. I am fairly conservative but testing people for drugs when they apply for food stamps is just too gestapo, if they are applying for food stamps and on drugs they need to be treated, not starved to a point of non-recovery, permanent health damage and/or death…  It’s about time and it should be a federal law! If people have to be drug tested to get a job then it should be the same for those that need assistance. I am all for helping those that truly need Urie 87 Shirt but not for those whom abuse it.  I don’t understand why this is a question!
