To those of you saying i lost a loved one to any disease. Please remember you’ve never lost that loved one till you forget about them. They live as long as your memory of them. And to my friends who went to visit heaven before they should have, i love you, and i’ll see you when it’s my time. Dementia awareness is important to get it out there to help and support others going through this with their loved ones.

Thanks for sharing this video, it made me cry because i feel what you are going through. The sadness, the heartache what this terminal disease can do to your loved one. I find this so hard, my popo had dementia for the last 2 maybe 3 years of his life but he always knew me. Only me and my girls though everyone else was chopped liver. It is a hard journey.  Very real. I feel for him, and my heart goes out to him and his family.

My mother has it. She is one of the strongest and bravest people i know. She is still in there, and she show’s me that every day.  I think this is one of the most beautiful , heartbreaking, warm and wonderful video i have ever seen. I am 80 yrs. Young and there for,the grace of god, that could be me. What a wonderful son you are . I have 3 wonderful sons and they love me also. Bless you! Thank you for the beautiful video of your mother!

Her mind may be gone but you are a good son for all that you have done for her. It is the hardest to put someone you love in a home. We had to put my brother who has cerebral palsy in a home. We could not take care of him after he fell and got hurt! I cried for two weeks. So no one should judge you. You are a good man and my god bless you and your family. God bless you joey for taking care of your mom.

I will include you and your mom in my prayers .just cherish the moments with her and someday you will never regret you did it for her.you such an amazing son. I hope you and your mom find peace! This journey isn’t easy… I lost my great grandmother to this disease. It was difficult to watch her mind slip away. I’m blessed to have been able to spend so much time with her and become her friend! She obviously didnt know who i was, but at the end of the day she always smiled, and laughed and thanked me for being with her.
