The album isn’t about blaming others, if you read the The Voices In My Stethoscope Make Me Do It Shirt to almost all the songs on the album, they are self reflective, this is the most focused, self analysing, reflective album shes ever done. Its more about what happens when you stop trying to be perfect and just show everyone who you are. Read the lyrics, it changes things a lot. I’m gonna listen to it because she is one of the artists that have been influencing me for a very long time. It just feels very different.

Taylor and her team knew from the beginning that the four songs released before the official release of the rest of her album titled Reputation were the best. The other eleven songs to me are big disappointments. I am being brutally honest here and I do not see this album getting a lot of grammy nods or chart topping staying power. For someone as uber talented as Taylor is, my overall evaluation for this album is two out of five stars. It’s a complete and shocking downgrade from her fascinating work done on 1989.

The definitely my least favourite album. And it doesn’t help that the one song I do like I would have to buy the whole album to get, which is kind of dumb. Idk just really disappointed cause I wanted to love her new album as much as I loved her previous ones. Dunno why people are complaining. I bought the hardcopy. I’m a Spotify user and I was like, ok, so I’ll just spend 20 bucks to buy it. Not really a problem. Especially when owning the physical copy is nicer anyway.

Why is everyone so upset about this album! Because it doesn’t sound like she’s twanging away on her guitar about a broken relationship? This is like the best Taylor! I personally think this is the album where she’s the most raw. Now she gets to sing about a relationship that’s good and healthy. Just listen to the words, I mean I’m sorry the tune itself isn’t raw, but I think it’s great that she’s pushing sounds and boundaries.

I think this paring with Max has honestly killed the creativity she has. All her albums to date have memorable songs and lyrics. This doesnt. I cant see it making any sort of impact.  So many amazing songs. Yes there a lot of techno sounding songs but getaway car, New Year’s Day, king of my heart, dress, delicate are all very similar to her old sound. I for one Love the entire album.

However I’m an android user so can’t actually get iTunes on my The Voices In My Stethoscope Make Me Do It Shirt. So if I can’t buy it on iTunes because I don’t have Apple products or Google music because you’ve not released it there, the only way I can listen is hard copy, which I don’t currently have a CD player for. I just feel it’s a bit unfair to only release it online to people who have iTunes and then the rest of us don’t get the opportunity until you release it later! Will of course be buying it regardless but I am slightly upset.
