Well, you shouldn’t take babies to the movie theater or a quiet library or let’s say a courtroom. Not sure what that discussion has to do with gender inequality. As far as the Vrod Dropping Panties Since 2002 Shirt inequality topic, sure Japan has it but most people on here probably do not understand Japanese culture. People in other countries shouldn’t be telling people how to live in other countries. Last comment, is this really newsworthy? You guys have been slipping lately.

For those who didn’t read she’s advocating for a daycare facility to be put in place for working mothers so they can be closer to their children. This is in a country where it’s not uncommon to have employees do a lot of overtime work. Adding commutes from home to work makes the day even longer and takes more time away from their families. A lot of people are saying she decided to have a child so she should stay home and put her career on hold.

That’s probably a contributing factor to Japan’s low birth rate, couples have to choose between a career or having a child. The point was that there should be support for new mothers at the place she works. Interesting… and in Canada our members of parliament can ask permission to bring babies to work areas if the need arises… and in Australia, senators are permitted to breast feed their babies in government chamber. Very different views from very different countries.

Considered a visitor so the child got tossed without knowing the family circumstances. I understand what you’re saying Martin but I think that’s digging pretty low. Not conducive to conducting business. Crying babies set off a distress pattern in the human brain. The brain can’t handle any other comes situation until the urgency generated stops. It is just a performance. She can do other things for gender equality in Japan because she is a politician.

I am totally for caring for a baby or child but bringing a child to a work place and totally not possible ! It will distract work and it would create tensions between felllow workers who do not have a child ! Imagine a meeting with kids bawling or running a round !! Seriously. Considering that Japan as an issue with ageing population and declining birth they should have been proud there was a baby to attend the session. This is ridiculous, can you imagine imagine a father doing this.

Isn’t that why women were never allowed to work in the past? Raising and caring for your child is a full time job!! If women want to work and have children it is their choice but dont use the Vrod Dropping Panties Since 2002 Shirt as an excuse? I guess she disapproved her own point that women can do a good job while bringing a baby to work.  Most working mothers get child care or family to mind their children when they return to work. We had a politician breastfeeding while delivering a speech it was not a good look.
