I find it amazing that you ignore the fact that the head of the NRA avoided subscription into the army by presenting a doctor’s letter stating that he ‘suffered from a nervous complaint’ Jason Coleman.
That is cowardice and ironic!

However, wouldn’t it be better to make sure guys like him (I refuse to use any shooter’s name) not be able to do a shooting in the first place?

I find it astounding that you seem to think Florida was the first mass shooting in the US. A mass shooting happens virtually every day! About every 6 months there’s one that is bad enough to make the news. The FBI can’t be to blame for all of them. I find it astounding that you don’t seem to think the ease or the age at which a gun can be bought -easier than dozens of other things – makes any difference.

If the NRA was in way concerned about gun safety they’d campaign for raising the age of ownership, proper registration of guns, proper licences with police & doctors certificates and gun competency test before owning one. Most of that you need to own a car. But I haven’t heard anything about making it safer. It’s all someone else’s problem or fault.
