When I was in junior high in the sixties, my principal said he would West Virginia Mountaineers Halloween Shirt turn down a request for vacation between fall and spring. He figured that the kids could only profit from traveling with their families, whether they saw history or not.  Schools organize field trips to give students the kind of educational experiences these kids got! Why shuld they be penalized because this trip was organized and chaperoned by their Father?

I say more powerr to a parent who would take the trouble to contribute in this way toards the education of his children himself! Way to teach your kids to feel entitled, the school works for me, the principle is paid by my taxes, how about teach you kids to follow the rules because they are not above them.

It was a three day vacation, was there really no three days off to make this trip? As a parent you do what think is right for your kids education that they can get out of classroom is great. The school never wants to hear it or excuses it because it doesn’t go along with the school studies or exams given to students. So as parent you take risk when taken your kids out of school .

If an authority figure says you’ve made a bad decision, you teach your kids that they will need to deal with the consequences of their actions. I would never want to hire these kids to work for me some day. They might feel entitled to call off of work because there’s something more valuable for them to do.

I feel it’s important to teach my kids that school is their first time commitment, just as their job will be their first time commitment some day. Everything else needs to.be planned around when they are scheduled to be in schoolwork unless they are able to make an acceptable arrangement otherwise.

He’s creating exactly what is making it so difficult to find good employees in these younger generations – entitlement to do whatever they want whenever they want.
