I drink a ton of milk (my parents told me to) but maybe I should drink less. It’s really good though. And I don’t like drinking water with food.  I’ve been the single mom that worked two jobs to pay my bills and take care of my kids!

I needed food stamps! Im also a tax payer! I received food stamps to help feed my kids! Not everyone on assistance is cheating the system people! Get a fucking grip! So damn tired of opinionated idiots! They are everywhere lately! If some of the dead beat parents are made to pay child support and help raise the children they made..maybe some of us wouldn’t have needed them! Don’t look down on people who needed the help and got it. My money went in the pot too! Self righteous! Bless your heart. Thanks for speaking your mind.

There was a time i needed help but couldnt get it bc i own a house. So i had to let an abuser back in my life to keep me from losing that too. People are so dang quick to judge things they have not experienced. There’s a lot of anger, misinformation, and a lack of people even attempting to understand the plight of other people. I often go far out of my way to talk to different types of people, and empathize with them. There IS a lot of true pain out there! –Many of the “points” that are being brought up are simply anecdotes about how a minority of ppl abuse the system.

Most ppl don’t. There will always be ppl who abuse the system, but if you think the majority do … get outside your social bubble, and talk to ppl who are different than you. Talk to ppl far away from you, even in a different state, if you want to get a true perspective on all this. For all who are arguing the consumption of milk donate whatever you supplement your dairy with. The point is there are hungry children, and yes there are hungry children in the US, that need help whether they have parents who abuse the system or not. Children are not to be faulted for their parentage.

If you are worried about the kids getting the food you can encourage a summer feeding program in your community for children 18 and younger. We have one in our community and ALL children are invited. There is no excuse to not help children. Although I will probably get some. Don’t qualify for WIC or Food Stamps, can’t afford health insurance, live pay check to paycheck, yet i’ am able to feed a family of 5 on $75 per week and we buy milk for 4 of us and Almond for 1 who does not tolerate cow’s milk, or dairy in any form. It’s how you shop – shop smart, watch sales.

I have one shelf in my fridge dedicated to milk and only shop sales – average i pay for 2%-Whole is $1.99. i buy discounted meats, and fresh veggies/fruits on sale in season. You can make lots of great meals with 5 ingredients or less. and Yes my kids eat cereal (but i don’t pay more than $1.50 per brand name box). Get Educated ! Its more about children whos parents are drug addicts and sell off their food stamps to pay rent and other things instead of feeding their children.
