Bullshit. I’m a baby of the 70’s and my dad was there just as much as my working mum… They both had jobs that meant they could be at school and sports Wonder Woman Dawn Of Justice Shirt, they worked 3 jobs each and dad was a volunteer ambulance driver in a rural area (busy) and yet they both have equally of their time.

I was born in 1948 — yeah, i’m an old gal now, but my father was a way ahead of his time – he spent a lot more than 5 minutes a day with me & with my brother. Taught us equal opportunity, fairness in all things; taught both his kids they could do anything & be anything, just to try to the best of our abilities & mostly to be fair & loving to any & all we encountered. He died when i was 21 & i still miss him greatly.

I was a small child in 74, and my dad spent nearly as much time with me as my mom did. When he was at home ( not at work) we were all together. I think today’s expectations are different, but not every fatherfollowed the expectations of the times. I see what this is trying to say but my grandfather spent all the time (when he was home from work) he could with my mother and my aunt).

Have times changed yes. Is there less of a stigma against fathers who stay at home today and take care of the kids yes, but it’s not fair to paint allfathers from the 70s as they are shown here. Im a child of the 70s and my dad raised me by himself, he did everything for me and even when my mom was there he was still an awesome dad.

Now his dad spent very little time with his children and my dad vowed to not be the same with me. I was born in 67, & my sister in 71. My dad spent alot more than 5 mins per day (shifts permitting) with us. He also did whatever he could to help mum, no matter what it was. His dad was also very special, often cleaned (badly lol) & even cooked on bad days. That was in the 40s & 50s, most unusual.

Very lovable. My grandpa & i will debate politics, among other things. I never had any problem telling him what i think, & he never once told me that i am wrong for thinking otherwise. I tried to raise my daughter the same way, which could explain why our relationship now is more open than my Wonder Woman Dawn Of Justice Shirt, who reminded me everyday why i need to act differently from my brothers – thank god for grandpa!
