And i’ve seen all of these boys from my first few years teaching graduate high school. None of them are gay…lol.  My son playing with baby dolls is what made him the Wonder Woman She Who Kneels Can Stand Before Anyone Shirt, caring big brother and cousin he is today. He is so sweet and loving with babies. And some day he is going to be a wonderful father. I never understood why people are so against boys playing with dolls.

If anything it makes them a better brother, cousin, uncle or father in the future. My baby makes me proud .  I loved my hot wheels growing up, i played with dolls, barbies, mud, backyard football with the boys, i was a straight up tomboy but with a girly twist. I’m now at 41 and i’ve been a nail technician for 23 years. You allowing your kids to play with the kinda toys not made out for his/her gender will not turn them gay.

I bought my daughter different ethnic color barbies and dolls to teach her everyone of us are of the same human race. Some pigments are darker or lighter. It’s life lessons the correct way. Let boys play with dolls can only teach them to be a daddy it doesn’t make him a sissy.  I let my son play with whatever toys he wants. He really wanted a pink baton from the dollar store the other day, so he has now been carrying around a pink baton.

He doesn’t know there’s labels for “boys toys” and “girls toys” so why am i going to confuse my toddler by trying to explain it to him? If he wants the girly toy then he can have it. If he decides he wants a doll, then i’ll get him a doll too (yes, even though he doesn’t have a sister) he also has a kitchen set and a home depot work bench. Toys are to encourage creativity not set labels. My aunt (his “other” grandmother) has dolls at her house.

He loves to hug them, make sure they’re covered up nicely, then puts them in their toy stroller and drive them around like a bat outta hell making race car noises while he does it. After their epic trek around the downstairs he feeds them a “baba” then ignores them completely while he “whips up” something outrageous in the little fake kitchen she also has. After he refuses to 1. Share his “delicious concoction” with me or 2. Clean up his mess, we then build things out of blocks.

All while he’s either sipping on a safari themed sippy cup or maybe even the only available clean one, which is pink and purple. It’s all about balance. Would i go out of my way to purchase a doll for my son? Probably not unless he requested it. If he did, i would in half a heartbeat. Would i prevent him from playing with one? Not a chance. In conclusion: i’d rather buy my children pretend animals/stuffed animals instead of dolls or action figures and ultimately create animal lovers because clearly humans suck, as demonstrated in the above commentary. My son doesnt play w dolls and my daughters dont play Wonder Woman She Who Kneels Can Stand Before Anyone Shirt so why is that such a horrible thing?
