It’s about time alternative music got played at a decent time. Why should us who choose to listen to Design Vintage Metallicas. Art Band Music Legend it have to wait till past midnight. Equal rights an all that. If ya don’t like it dude then don’t listen to it. We ain’t twisting ya arm. Good stuff. About time Radio 1 played more rock……. Recently seems as though they’ve merged into an offshoot of 1Extra. no thanks why does this shite not get put on about 3 am when every one is sleeping. I used to work with Teletext and Cefax, I mainly did subtitling and captioning but subtitles used the same technology, I didn’t do much with the bbc, I updated the original subtitles when they reran Eastenders, it arrived to me on 8 inch floppy discs and the main problem I had was finding a reader! This was about 1999/2000. I loved Ceefax, Teletext and Oracle. For years we didnt have a teletext TV so just sat and watched the free pages which kept looping, with the cheesy soft jazz music playing. Then we got one and Saturday came and it was permanently on with the football scores. It still impresses me that a fairly comprehensive user controlled information service could be implemented through an analogue TV signal, – no telephone line (nor or course wifi or telephone signal) required. And all a few years before the ZX81 is released- at a time when pocket calculators and digital watches were state of the art

I loved how Ringo befriended Levon and asked him to join his All Starr Band. It showed he had a lot of respect for him, to include another drummer. He knew Levon was such an exceptional one! Happy Birthday, Ringo! Happy birthday Ringo, meeting him is one of the highest shinning moments of my life. I still have a few trinkets from backstage… Levon and Rick invited me to the shows and introduced me to him. We ALL love Ringo & The Beatles but – please – let’s not make him Stewart Copeland. He was great for Design Vintage Metallicas. Art Band Music Legend the Beatles – the way Max Weinberg is good for Bruce. They both got lucky.
